Huntin On The Rock, Newfies In The Yukon and Macmillan Monsters series is a continuation of hunting experiences captured on film by myself, Deon Dicks. This all started quite some time ago when I decided to bring along with me a video camera and try and film wildlife and the experiences of the hunt. Close encounters and the adrenaline of trying to harvest a big game is something that never gets old and many people enjoy it. Huntin on the "Rock" has been a term us local Newfoundlanders are familiar with, its simply a basic term that describes half of our amazing province Newfoundland, the other half been"the big land" Labrador.

    The other half of my title,  "Newfies In The Yukon and Macmillan Monsters " this experience began in 2010 when along with a good friend of mine Daniel Robinson, we had the privilege to guide in the Yukon for Macmillan River Adventures. As I have stated on my first Yukon DVD, the Yukon is Newfoundland on a much larger scale!  When you say the word "monster" right away most would agree that terms like, big, huge, enormous, fearless, powerful, plus many more terms come to mind and rightfully so, well among the list of big game animals you will find at Macmillan river adventures, is the majestic Yukon Alaskan moose, and after you have been up close to one of these enormous animals, I'm sure the best way to describe them with just one word, would be MONSTER. 
   I'm from Newfoundland Canada, hunting as been part of my family for as long as I can remember, moose is nothing new to me, I have seen 100's here in this great province I call home but while guiding in the Yukon for nearly 10 years now and seeing the size of these moose I can never explain to you with words, you really have to see them for yourself. However, this film will give you some insight into just how big they really are. 
  My Yukon DVDs are full of monster moose. Many have had a dream of going to the Yukon to see these giant animals, well the wait is over but just to warn you, after you watch these DVDs, you may have a nightmare or two of some giant "Macmillan Monsters"  but its a nightmare that you will enjoy!!
